Petersen® Hot Tap Pipe Plug Insertion Systems

Petersen® Inflatable Multi-Flex™ Pipe Plugs may be installed into a pressurized pipeline with the Petersen® Hot Tap Pipe Plug Insertion System. This allows for maintenance of pipelines without emptying the pipeline. There are two similar Petersen® Hot Tap Pipe Plug Insertion Systems.

The 128 Series Multi-Flex™ Plug is installed downstream of the hot tap. This allows the plug launching system to also by-pass flow upstream of the Plug. The 129 Series Plug can be built for much higher pressures than the 128 Series Plug but requires a somewhat larger hot tap and inflates immediately below the hot tap.

The optional Completion Valve is installed between the hot tap sleeve and valve to allow the valve to be removed after the project is completed.
